The final round of the ATKV and Suidoosterfees annual choir competition promises to be a thrilling experience that will fill the Artscape Opera House with exquisite voices. Rural and urban amateur choirs who entered the competition have been supported by experts with training and masterclasses since last year, and at this event they will finally know which choirs will walk away with the top awards. ’n Fantastiese toneelpakket vir regisseurs en jong teatermakers met werkswinkels wat fokus op nie-verbale storievertelling, voor-verbale fisieke rolvertolking, liggame wat mekaar in die ruimte ontmoet en die skep van kreatiewe klankruimtes. Deelnemers se verbeelding, tegniese en kreatiewe spelvaardighede word gestimuleer en ontwikkel deur te fokus op lyftaal, fisieke teater, luistervermoëns, waarnemings, stemgebruik en klankwerk. Saam met die werkswinkels sal kursusgangers baie feesproduksies bywoon om inspirasie te kry en om die stukke krities te bespreek. Drie dae van leer en opwinding teen ’n spesiale afslagprys. ’n Pakket wat verblyf insluit is ook beskikbaar.
A fantastic opportunity for directors and young theatre-makers to attend workshops on non-verbal storytelling, pre-verbal physical acting, bodies meeting in space, and building creative soundscapes. Participants will be expected to employ imagination, technical and creative acting skills and much more as they learn about body language, physical theatre, skilled listening, observation, voice projection and sound work. Between workshops, participants will attend festival productions and discuss their experiences of them. Three days of learning and excitement at a special discount price. A package that includes accommodation is available.

Sangers, dansers, rymkletsers, komediante en musiekmakers ding vandag mee in die finale ronde van die Suidoosterfees se Talentsoektog-kompetisie. Uitdunne is sedert November verlede jaar gehou, en finaliste se vaardighede is tydens werkswinkels geslyp sodat hulle ons beoordelaars vandag vir oulaas kan beïndruk. Kom kyk wie vandag as algehele wenner aangewys word en met R10 000 prysgeld wegstap, en kom wens die beste danser geluk met ’n beurs vir ’n jaar se gratis studie by Dance for All.
Talented singers, dancers, rappers, comedians and musicians will compete in the final round of the Suidoosterfees Talent Search competition. Knock-out rounds started in November last year, and finalists have been attending workshops to prepare for this big day in front of our adjudicators. Join us and see who will be crowned overall winner and walk away with the top prize of R10 000. The best dancer will receive a bursary for a year’s study at Dance for All.
