Talentsoektog
Die Suidoosterfees se jaarlikse Talentsoektog bied aan jong en opkomende kunstenaars ’n platform om hul talent te ontwikkel, blootstelling te kry en hulself aan die breër kunsbedryf bekend te stel. Die projek word in samewerking met verskeie vennote aangebied en fokus op die identifisering en ontwikkeling van talent in dissiplines soos sang, dans en instrumentale musiek.
Hoe dit werk: Inskrywings word aanlyn gefasiliteer. Benewens die kompetisie-element, vorm vaardigheidsontwikkeling ’n belangrike deel van die projek. Werkswinkels word by Dance for All in Athlone aangebied om semifinaliste se tegniese vaardighede te verfyn, hul verhoogaanbiedings te versterk en hulle voor te berei vir verdere deelname aan die kompetisie. Die Talentsoektog speel ’n belangrike rol in die ontdekking, mentorskap en bevordering van nuwe talent uit gemeenskappe regoor die Wes-Kaap.
Talent Search
The Suidoosterfees annual Talent Search provides young and emerging artists with a platform to develop their talent, gain exposure and introduce themselves to the broader arts industry. The project is presented in partnership with various stakeholders and focuses on identifying and nurturing talent in disciplines such as singing, dance and instrumental music.
How it works: Entries are submitted online. In addition to the competition element, skills development forms an important part of the project. Workshops are presented at Dance for All in Athlone to refine the semifinalists’ technical skills, strengthen their stage presence and prepare them for further participation in the competition. The Talent Search plays an important role in discovering, mentoring and promoting new talent from communities across the Western Cape.
