Die Hoërskool Dramafees, aangebied deur Artscape en Suidoosterfees van 18 tot 22 Augustus 2025, is met groot sukses afgesluit. Tien skole het gedurende die feesweek in Kaapstad meegeding en produksies van uitstaande gehalte gelewer. Gary Naidoo het die foto’s geneem.
Spoke, ’n produksie van Hoërskool Martin Oosthuizen in Kakamas in die Noord-Kaap, het die gesogte titel “Produksie van die Fees” verower, asook twee bykomende toekennings.
The High School Drama Festival, presented by Artscape and Suidoosterfees from 18 to 22 August 2025, concluded with resounding success. Ten schools competed during the festival week in Cape Town, showcasing productions of outstanding quality. Gary Naidoo took the photos.
Spoke, a production by Martin Oosthuizen High School from Kakamas in the Northern Cape, walked away with the coveted title of “Production of the Festival”, as well as two additional awards.

Judges’ Special Award
Judges’ Special Award: Khwela, a community-based organisation, for Echoes of Silence
Khwela, ’n gemeenskapsorganisasie vir hoërskool-damaleerders, het ’n spesiale beoordelaarstoekenning ontvang vir hul innoverende gebruik van ’n eenvoudige stel en beligtingontwerp n die produksie Echoes of Silence. Hier ontvang Mbali Sikhuphela, Elona Shumi, Chulumanco Thengani en Zipho Mrwata die toekenning van Marlene le Roux en Edmund Jeneker namens die produksie.
Khwela, a community organisation for high school drama learners, received the Judges’ Special Award for their innovative use of a simple set and lighting design in the production Echoes of Silence. Here Mbali Sikhuphela, Elona Shumi, Chulumanco Thengani and Zipho Mrwata accept the award from Marlene le Roux and Edmund Jeneker on behalf of the production.
Ander skole wat aan die fees deelgeneem het, was Makupula Sekondêre Skool, Hoërskool Bellville, Eros Hoërskool, Apex Hoërskool, Houtbaai Internasional Skool en Schoonspruit Sekondêre Skool.
