Proscenium-dialoë
In samewerking met die WKOD, KKNK en Toyota Stellenbosch Woordfees
Die Suidoosterfees werk nou saam met die Wes-Kaapse Onderwysdepartement se Proscenium-dramakompetisie wat in 2024 in die lewe geroep is. Dié kompetisie vir hoërskoolleerders van graad 8 tot 12 mond uit in die skep van nuwe kort dialoë wat gratis as hulp- en verrykingsmateriaal vir gebruik deur leerders en onderwysers in die klaskamer beskikbaar gestel word.
In 2024 is 15 dramaturge genader om kort dialoë in Afrikaans, Engels en Xhosa te skryf, waarna dit by die US Woordfees, KKNK en die Suidoosterfees opgevoer is. Die dialoë is ook verfilm en die video’s is op die WKOD se ePortal beskikbaar vir opvoeders as ondersteuningsmateriaal. Skoliere wat as finaliste in die Proscenium-dramakompetisie uitgeblink het, vertolk die rolle in die video’s. Altesaam 15 professionele regisseurs het saam met 31 hoërskoolleerders gewerk om hierdie projek te verwesenlik.

Die Proscenium-dramakompetisie is ’n Tribuo-projek en word moontlik gemaak deur die ondersteuning van NATi, die Atterbury Trust, die Wes-Kaapse regering, RSG, Artscape, die Stigting vir Bemagtiging deur Afrikaans, LIFT, Overklank, kykNET, die ATKV, Northlink Kollege, WOW, die Toyota Stellenbosch Woordfees, Suidoosterfees, KKNK en KFilms.
Proscenium Dialogues
In collaboration with the WCED, KKNK and Toyota SU Woordfees
The Suidoosterfees is a partner of the Western Cape Education Department’s Proscenium drama competition, launched in 2024. This competition, aimed at high school learners from Grade 8 to 12, culminates in the creation of new short dialogues that are made freely available as teaching and enrichment resources for classroom use by learners and educators.
In 2024, 15 playwrights were commissioned to write short dialogues in Afrikaans, English and Xhosa. These were performed at the Toyota SU Woordfees, KKNK and the Suidoosterfees. The dialogues were also filmed, and the videos are available on the WCED’s ePortal as support material for educators. Finalist learners from the Proscenium competition performed the roles in these videos. In total, 15 professional directors collaborated with 31 high school learners to bring this project to life.
